Found a video which gives a litle demonstration on how multiclassing works in Rift. Looks quite interesting, seems like you can almost switch classes within your archetype any time once you've done whatever has to be done to "learn" said class and keep abiltiies you learn from that class from spending soul points. If it works how I think it does your toon is going to be very customizable.
