Your UI set up is surprisingly tidy Malt. I'm impressed.

Most noteworthy though, is Malts macros for "Hub" and "Storehouse"
No wonder he is the first to get away to safety lol!

PostSubject: Re: Screenie of DroxyCore UI   Fri Jul 17, 2009 1:54 pm

I'm trying to see the advantages of a custom UI system. So far I've sussed out the following possible advantages. If anyone has more I'd be really glad to see them 'cos to take time out from play to set something like this up has got to offer a lot of advantages for me.

- completely (?) customisable
- much smaller space needed for party member info
- icons tightly grouped together (no silly spacings)
- most common commands in little buttons (recall/trade etc)

I've not sussed out where the chain actions appear from Maltie's screenie nor where the creature stats appear. Anyone able to enlighten me Smile

I'm sure there's far more that I haven't seen yet so I'm not a "never gonna have a custom UI" person, more "sat on the fence" and not totally sure, yet!

The Chain Reactions are on there but are not visable from the screenie ... They are hiding under the Game Menu Info thing ... Smile

Also or the Droxycore UI is an infomap showing you where all harvestable items are hiding Smile

There is access to the Internet ingame ... via a small button in the top right corner Smile which also gives links to lots of useful websites Smile

If youhave a pet, you can change ita abilities bar from horizontal to vertical ... same with Inventory/bags

That thing on the top in the middle is a compass, also tells what chunk you are in, and ingame time, and Real Time Smile

Also, you can change the size of your bars in Layout mode so you can either make them small or big ... Smile but the uiwinscale is bugged and wont save everything as being small so you will have to reset it everytime you log in ... :( Maybe it will be fixed someday...

It also shows what exact percentage of experience you are at Smile

This enough to make you wanna get a Custom UI?

So how difficult is it to set up? *very nearly tempted*

Exact link to the d/load might be good too Wink Saves me getting all confused.

Whats the raid functionality like? and ofc the healer helper and alsoo presentation of groups 2-4

Pretty important it is easy to observe the health of not just your group in case you need to heal others.

to get rid of the black box by the bag bars on the bottom left you can click on the diplo card button and then click on the wand =) make sure you save your loadout after that then so that it doesn't reappear when you relog

looks good though ^^

Pretty buggy ui....

Tried it and frankly its not good... it would be if it fully worked.

Too many duplicates of windows that you simply cannot turn off... nice idea though. Gonna have to go back to core i think and resign myself to not having a healer helper.

lol I would be more concerned if your parents let you fly overseas to meet a 37 year old man you knew from the internet.... in fact I will stop there as Shad is bound to chip in lol.

Thanks for the offer though pred.... I guess I need to edit xml files in the ui and just dont fancy doing that Smile
Oddly I have now installed coreui and it looks like it has retained the customiser from droxycore.... so I am wondering now if the healer helper has corrected (the only isuue I have with core is the healer helper is misaligned from the 3rd group member) as soon as I am in a full group I will see.
