| Oh, and let's not forget Age of Conan, it's not that bad really, I enjoyed it, but got bored not finding any guild I liked. Graphic is super, and the quests not bad, you can create your own guild town etc ... overall not bad | |

| Nexxus, Hope you are better in the morning by the way. I was looking at this DDO Unlimited, Eberon is it? Is this the same game as the one that you and Fred play, for while checking it out I cannot find reference to the devourer server that I gather you 2 play on? Cheers |

| yea uo used to be very pvp orientated. They then duplicated the main world and created a pve only facet, so no one has to pvp anymore and you can't get ganked.
What I like about it is that you can just log in, kick back and do whatever you fancy, no levels to worry about as its skill based. Once you know what skills you want to develop on each toon you just let them raise as you play normally.
Crafting wise, theres smithy, carp, taylor, tinker, alchemist, scribe, cook. Harvesting theres mining and lumberjacking which as you gain you can harvest rarer resources. Every tree stone is harvestable.
Lots to discover and do, housing is very integral and lots to deco and collect which is why i like it.

Cheers That unlimited word I never saw as I played it ... anyway, yep it's eberron, and the server is the devourer server. Maybe you got a kinda free "island of dawn" ala DDO? I*m sure can tell you how he did it, remember I join the ganme 4 or so years ago, not sure what you need to get it going, but Fredd managed, so He can prolly tell you when he gets online here next time.

| Maybe I'll have a look on UO as well, but first I need to get well, install all my other games, incl. VG on the new computer. So far I have only managed to install the new Wolfenstein game, wich I enjoy. catch you all laters! | |

| Assuming i would go and install the UO trial, would i want the classic client or the 'enhanced beta client'? And if there is no 'Isle of Dawn' trial limitation, what server would i want to look for? Last Ultima game i played was Ultima VI Anyway, off to best buddy's house breaking party tonight, so feed me with input and i'll have a shot at it tomorrow. | |

| I am still not wanting VG to fold at all, uo for me is just gonna be a past time I am trying for the experience of the riginal daddy of mmo on trial, since its about the only thing I have not treid. Spent last night till 11sorting out shads VOIP and we solved it in a really annoyingly easy way, so we did end up in uo to have a laugh and chat. It was fun but as it stands at the moment I am not entirely convinced it will be worth a monthly sub,
The problem that I had and continue to have with Vanguard is that I have no desire to level another round of alts and no interest in the post 51 stuff until I have completed apw etc ithout being dragged through. I hate diplo and my desire to craft vaporised over qa year ago when I realised the extent of a grind to get sigils to get the upgrade recipes on old toons to make stuff worthy of crafting (which they have now solved but have also destroyed the crafters market).
Maybe its time for a seperate thread to see who in the guild is commited to what so that everyone can make a fair decision on thir futures. There is no point when there is a diminishing population holding people in the guild on the off chance there will be numbers again. The thing that was so frustrating before was the constant cycle of building a raid group starting APW only for that progress to stop out of boredom of guilddies/lack of numbers online etc etc and rinse and repeating this several times.
I am surprised about how quickly people have ceased logging on again and how many are actually looking at other games.
I am not trying to be hostile in anyway I just think theat a tipping point has been reached and whilst everyone is a nice person and fun to be with online I think its time for either some honesty or commitment, either is fine it really is, but it is not fair on the new guys or the established players like nandy and malt that almost ALWAYS Moonlakes try to support the 50 groups regardless of content.

| I've been trying out Champions Online, and I now have a sub to that as well. I currently have three games on the go, and I don't know yet where I will be spending the bulk of my time.
I would like to get Kelech to L50, at some point, but I probably won't be levelling crafting any more. Probably.
If you mention specific outings on the Forum, small group to full group stuff, I'd be more likely to make the effort to log in for that.

cant speak for anyone else but other than trying to fix voice with rash on skype last night we havent used anything else. Got it now so that either me or moonie can log into vent, but we have sussed out the problem, just need to get another high def audio USB converter so we can both get on. One of us should be on again now though, just depends who wins the fight for the usb converter that Murg gave us :-)

| Me for one, won't quit VG, not sure how much I will play though, I will also look into some other stuff. But I like VG too much to just quit I guess.
I will give DDO a go as well, and maybe UO, but the latter doesn't seem that appealing due to poor graphic, and being an old game in general.
It seems we have a reach a point in the guild history where we face different direction I guess, and it was just a matter of time until it happend.
A game can only hold interest for so long before people wanna try something new I guess. It's just a pity we reached that just as we started to get people in guild so we could actually do APW with more than 11 people.
Seems we got us a little PA here just like old TSS wether we liked it or not.
My suggestion is, and I hope others agree with it, is to try to use the Vent for all the games we decides to go to, that way we can still chat.

| Sounds like a plan Nexxus. Suspect that it will not be until something new comes along that appeals to many rather then the few that MNR will get back to being more than a community. |

| :( Not sure where this thread was at because I didn't see it until today. I understand why you're takin' a break Shad Everyone needs one and sometimes people need a LONG one. Hope you have fun in whatever game you play or whatever else you do I haven't been on a lot lately because of soccer and school. But also figured that for the time i go on Vanguard I couldn't get anything done or have any fun because it was sooo little time. I'll try to make the raids and maybe some small groups over the weekend. Haven't really tried many other games for PC. Onyl really play Empire: Total War and Vg. Been playing on my 360 tho. Don't think I can afford another game to play. If i started another game I think it would have to be Diablo III when it comes out Been watching it for a LONG time now and can't wait. Don't think there is anything special in it, basicly just roam and fight whatever you see hehe a PA sounds fine to me. Umm, I was getting mad cuz everyone wrote so much stuff and it took forever to read :P i'm a slow reader tho, and now i just realized i typed kinda a long post | |
