| So, thinking of a new character to give me something different from Rho. Not a cleric as I seriously find Sanuye too exhausting to play in a large group. Anything else goes. I've a mid lvl ranger already that I'm quite fond of so I guess she'll eventually canter up the lvls. Just need to smack Squinky a few more times to get her racial mount I guess therefore looking at all the other classes! Curious as to what we are lacking as a guild in the higher levels. Or conversely what class we have plenty of or could use more of x class. | |

| well, we don't have a druid that regularly plays =) kara has been away and shad usually plays shad not typhoo. No psioncist atm except for vicis alt byt we do have aoli almost at 50. Bard, Kedon is our only bard but we do have bastird close to 40. Definately need some more DPS for further into APW, and maybe 1 or 2 more healers ^^ We only have one blood mage atm, Cynamoon, he likes playing Yaya and Jhaffa though so may need another =) Ranger is fun but we seem to have a lot of em | |

| Ranger's a DPS class, you could stick with that if you're having fun. Otherwise you first need to decide between the light fighter or caster set of classes, for playing style. Both of those are DPS, but ones more 'up close and hit things', and the other's 'stand back and nuke things'. I think (correct me if I'm wrong) you'd like the light fighter playstyle better. Your options there are Ranger (pretty straightforward), Rogue (need to do pickpocketing and item creation for best effect, also need to keep stealthed), Monk (pretty straightforward), and Bard (kind of caster-like, as far as I know - not played one) Check out the class guides on this page, that should give you an idea of what to expect. http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/59391 | |

| Well, dont worry about what classes we are lacking, you should choose a class that you actually enjoy playing cause if you didnt enjoy it would just be a waste of time ... | |

| DPS wise three classes we could use if you really getting bored of your pally. A melee Ranger (we have like five archer Rangers but no swordsmen heh), a Psionicist (very, very useful to have around for support abilites and buffs and hits surprisingly hard too) or a Bard (I've been our only Bard for like 2 years heh).
But like Malt said do not force yourself to play a class you do not enjoy, you will grow to hate it trust me.

| I've actually got a psionicist whom I'm quite fond of. Not played too much simply because he's all squishy and tends to cark it rather to often when soloing! Could easily (with babysitting) lvl him up to something reasonable. Equally I've a monk stuck on the Isle. She's been remarkably easy to solo so far, done all of it on her own, just struggling on the last couple of quests (can't think why ). Won't be dropping my ranger, she's far too cute for that! Just doubtful that I'll spend that much time on her. Not tried a bard. About time I did most likely as it's one of the few classes I haven't tried. As for Rho... I love him to bits. Good fun to play but I'm coming to the conclusion there are a lot of excellent tanks around. Some other reasons too, all leading to the result of me wanting to keep him going for now but likely semi-retiring him by lvl 50. | |

| no reason to not stick to the pally ... beside APW all high-end content seem to be limited to 6-men groups, so to have another tank gives a chance to have another group.
and you should play a class you like to play, independant of what might be use- ful for the guild ... maybe just try out some ... except shammy you should get a basical feeling if you like a class or not til lvl 6/8 ... just means two hours on the island ... even gives a chance to take a looksy at the original starter camps of different races.

| Well against probably all the bets, I've created a sorceror who's already off isle (thanks Raf!) and romping around. So far seems very easy to play and having a great laugh with her. | |

| grats on the choice Rho First time I tried a sorceror I didn't like it, but second time (Charrley), I love it. Strange indeed. I daresay If you need advice, nandy is our only really accomplished sorceror, so she's your best bet...... or Ked of course, Encyclopedia Kedonnica, as I like to think of him. Worth noting : You likely will die lots, simply because of the damage you can deal out, which of course generates some wicked aggro. As with all DPS classes, in the later game aggro management will prove a life saver at times, probably moreso with a Sorc than the other classes as your squishy and damage orientated. On a plus side, stuff will die much faster than with Rho. With regards to Rho, don't give up on him altogether, or feel intimidated by our other tanks, we were all in the same boat as you once and I do understand that high level tanking can be intimidating at first. From playing with you first hand though, honestly, your tanking is spot on and much better than mine was at Rho's level. (shut up anyone about to say it still is ). As the others have rightly said, see what you enjoy and go with it. Our toons change dramatically as they level and it's often not until you hit a certain level that you feel it's really right for you. I have always maintained though that it's nice for Tank classes to have an alt, even when lev 50, just to take a break from the responsibility of tanking and leading the group, now and then. | |

| Hey don't look at me I know almost nothing about squishy casters. I tried once but I prefer having at least something between a nasty's claws and my skinny body. Besides real men wear leather and so on. | |

| Well for starters she might be skinny but she ain't a man so although she might look hot in leathers, it won't be her favoured attire If only we could craft clothing, all would be just perfect :Kara: | |
