| Ok, i got the modem and the faster internet...the internet is faster...but the modem didn't fix the connection problems every few mintues i don't know what to do. We replaced all the wires too. We tried isolating the modem from the router to see if it still ocurred and it did. So it's not the router *sighs* | |

| Hmmm.. Could it be a driver problem or even a faulty part in your computer? Did you check it with another computer if possible to eliminate that possibility? | |

| could anyone have messed with your firewall or energy saver settings pred? Try turning the firewall off?
also have you tried phoning your providers tech support line? They should be able to help.

| I called my providers, I've tried it on another comp, the modem isn't connected directly into my comp, it's is connected wirelessly through a router. But we did try connecting it to a computer directly. I'm getting the same problems on my xbox/sisters&dads laptops/other comp too. So it's not just my comp. I'm thinking it's something with the phone line if that's possible. i haven't done anything with my drivers...not sure how to do that
but my comp does automatic updates, so not sure if that includes drivers
i haven't tried anything with the firewall yet, i'm not sure if my dad wants me to do that, and nots ure what you mean by energy saver :( i have a power supply that my comp is connected to, and it has a cable going from it into a phone line thing(not sure what it's called) :/
we've got filters on everything too

| one thing you easily can try, it helped me a while ago ...
just plug-out/plug-in the cable of the router where it is connected with the official telecom in-/output ...
its not magic, but a matter of eventual ionisation coming from different quality metals touching, which can cause a certain ionisation and block correct electricity flow
