Game Update: Wednesday April 7th 2010

Magi Hold: Chapter 3 has arrived! There are new adventuring, crafting, and diplomacy quests now available for level 50+ players.

You can find quest boards leading to Magi Hold in New Targonor, Ahgram, and Tawar Galan.

See Naji Sevenblade in the Magi Hold barracks before the furnace room to start the first part of the main quest line, or her assistant Shou Kai Skyfall for side quests.

Lord Talfyn stirs once again

Hatred has once again taken hold of Misthaven, and a call for aid has been sent for the strongest adventurers. The mirror to Shadow Hilsbury has opened. Beyond the mirror await Lord Talfyn, Prince Julian, Lady Serra, and the fearsome Hilsbury Hound! Be warned the mirror adventures must overcome crushing burdens in addition to the powers of the Talfyn family. Those who wish to help in exterminating the Vampire Blight from the face of Telon should travel to the Hilsbury Mansion.



Content


Magi Hold: Chapter 3 has arrived! There are new story quests, side quests, as well as new group and raid bosses. In addition to new quest rewards, there are also new crafting recipes for those that have finished the crafting quest line in Magi Hold and new drops across the board.
Shadow Hilsbury has arrived!

General


There is now a monk trainer in Dahknarg.Added a Shorterm Buffs Window to the UI. You can adjust the maximum duration buffs must be to show up in this window via the Interface Settings tab.Fixed a bug that caused the 'Debuffs cast by me' window to become out of sync and show spells that had already faded.Regens now show decimals in the stats tab.Fix for immunity heals not showing the absorbtion amounts. Now when you nuke an npc that has an immunity to a type, it should give some feedback, including telling you when it healed instead of damaged the npc.

Items


The Jump Ring no longer works in combat
Imperial Firebombs and Imperial Medicine have had their effects improved.
The Ranger Epic Itemset has been fixed.


Game Update Wednesday 10th March 2010

Magi Hold NPCs have been updated with new attacks and abilities.
The Sisters event has been fixed and re-enabled.


General


The anniversary NPC that distributes gifts has now been removed.
New seasonal brews are available at many different barkeeps and food & drink vendors across Telon.
Psionisist rune spells now work properly.
NPCs now give better notification when they absorb your damage using runes.


Items


Some activated Magi Hold items including all darkwave ability items and the Imperial Arch Magi Ring have had their damage slightly increased, however they no longer benefit from the character's stats. The Imperial Arch Magi Tome still does benefit from the user's stats, but has lower base damage.


Game Update Wednesday 10th February 2010


Magi Hold

Magi Hold is an Imperial Research Facility in Kojan run by the Imperial Head Magi Zosun. It was strictly off-limits to trespassers, who were attacked on sight. Some of the Empire’s best sorcerers and sages worked there, protected by the elite warriors of the Imperial Guard. Their work was a closely guarded secret. Those who went there, despite the dangers, spoke of massive amounts of Imperial war golems inside and strange experiments with exotic creatures.

While there have always been rumors and whispers of horrible experiments and strange rituals being performed down there, rumors that the Emperor has always denied and quashed instantly, things seem to have intensified as of late. Zosun is actually facing defections from the Guard who think he has gone mad. His second in command, Imperial Officer Rekai, has been using brute force to silence any opposition that remains.

The Emperor is strangely silent about the affair, but there are immediate requests of help from Imperials who oppose Zosun, led by Officer Naji Sevenblade. Even those with grievances with the Empire are welcome.

Whatever is happening in Magi Hold threatens all of Telon.

Every mercenary, every adventurer, every hero is needed.

Magi Hold Chapter 1 is now Live!
Fixed a server crash related to Kotasoth.
Fixed another bug with the Random-For-Magical loot mode.
Fixed a bug that caused items not to swap properly when equipping from your inventory.



Items


Fixed a bug where Melee Strikethrough on items showed only as “Strikethrough”. It should now be obvious which items are granting melee strikethrough and which are granting spell strikethrough.
Pantheon Armor sets now require 5 items for the maximum effect instead of 6.
Fixed many Pantheon Epic and Armor effects.



Raid


Fixed a bug with Karax’s Choking Fear not always hitting everyone as it should.
Fixed an issue with his adds not aggroing properly all the time.


Game Update 13th January 2010

General


Fixed a crash related to merchants.
/itemuse will now work on items that are equipped.
Faction costs that increased due to the increased faction gains should now be back to their normal amounts.
Pets will no-longer try to attack non-attackable npcs.
Abilities and items that increase your proc chance will now increase your proc on heal chance also.
The /wear command now allows you to specify 2 slots if you're wearing the same item in both slots. Example: /wear "my ring" LEFTFINGER RIGHTFINGER. If you have 2 of "my ring" it will put one in each slot.
/remove will now allow you to specify a slot you want to remove the item from instead of an item name. Example: You can now /remove "primary hand" to unequip your primary weapon.
/equip will now search your bags for items to equip before searching your equipped inventory. This means that you can now /equip 2 items of the same name without problems.
Fix for a bug that made your pet attack you if you put it in guard mode and used an ability on an NPC that couldn't fight back.


Quests


New Artisan Saga quests are available. Visit your crafting contacts the Banisher Commander Ashlyn Blackshield in New Targonor, Lulu Hikat in Ahgram, and Kedara the Fiend Hunter in Tawar Galan in that order and as directed.


Items


Many of the repair and rigging tools were using icons similar to other tools. These have been updated so the tools can be told apart at a glance.
The paladin 2h epic now counts as a shield properly when checking if you can use paladin shield buffs.
Players can now send housing trophies to the owner’s escrow by right clicking on it, if they have the permissions to do so. You can adjust this in the edit permissions window.
Diplomacy items will no longer auto-equip into diplomacy clothing. You can still put the items there, but they won't loot into those slots on their own.


UI


Added exp numbers to the exp bar. You must turn them on in the interface settings to see them.
Added a stats tab to the character sheet, next to attributes.


Abilities


Fixed a bug that was causing stealth to be removed after combat for some players.
COTH Spells will work in Pantheon again.
Fire Pummel now works again.
Mindspys Persist through camping now.
‘Proc on Heal’ effects now work when healing someone other than yourself.


Raid


Fixed following issues with Karax Woefather that made the encounter trivial.
Fixed issue where obsessed wraith would do nothing when spawned and was an invalid target
Fixed issue where unchained acolyte would not attack and could not be targeted
Fixed issue where unchained keeper would not attack and could not be targeted
Fixed issue where unchained ghast would not attack and could not be targeted
Fixed issue with lit panels not using abilities


Game Update Wednesday 18th November 2009

General


Fixed an issue with the duration on Asilam's Call of the Siren.
Masterwork Cavalier’s Maul of Venom should now have an appearance for the Thestran and Qalian versions.
Kamelott Crystal Cogs should now fit in diplomacy bags.
Quest: Monster for Miles should now update properly.
Quest: Charbrook Military should now update properly.
Fixed an issue with PotA item set 4pc effects not landing or not procing.
Call of the Hero type spells will no longer work within the Halls of the Pantheon.
Warbow of Magic will now pull arrows from ammo cases.
Fixed an issue with the Weight of the Heavens applying to players incorrectly.
Overland raid bosses are much less likely to drop two of the same item on one kill. This was first implemented to affect the bosses on IoG but now affects all overland raid bosses. It also affects Kotasoth and the Core Processor in APW.
Fixed an issue with PotA trial, The Rescue (Phase 2) not updating properly when you bring the elder back to Vothdar.
Fixed an issue with PotA trial, Trial of the Strategist, automatically failing when rezzed after the last wave was completed.



Rogue


Hostage Negotiations has been temporarily disabled until properly fixed.



Shaman


Heart of Fire will now appear correctly at level 55.



Sorcerer



Sleep III particle has been improved.
Seradon’s Falling Star line should now have a casting animation again.
Unfocused form has been removed. Sorcerers will now default to Fiery Intensity form.
A new passive ability has been added to the Sorcerer trainers called Magical Manifestation. This passive adds 16% damage.
Fiery Intensity no longer grants a 16% damage bonus.
Icy Focus no longer lowers energy costs and global refresh.
Fiery Intensity and Icy Focus should now persist through death properly.
Color Spray is now properly set to a mesmerize and not a stun.
Chaos Volley, Taqmir’s Barrage/Bolts and Shocking Grasp will no longer remove the feedback from Seradon’s Falling Comet.
Sanctuaries have had their refresh timers reduced to 2 minutes.
Sanctuaries will now place 45 second immunities on their targets.
Meteor Storm has had its refresh timer reduced to 0 and its stun portion is now a 10% chance.
Meteor Storm has had its cast time reduced to 3 seconds.
Meteor Storm will now cast a debuff called Meteor Storm Synergism on the targets it hits as long as they do not already have it on them. This will allow Ice Quake IV to do additional damage. The debuff lasts for 6 seconds.
Ice Quake IV will now cast a debuff called Icequake Synergism on the targets it hits as long as they do not already have it on them. This will allow Meteor Storm to do additional damage. The debuff lasts for 6 seconds.
Aquamarine Focus Essence now scales properly past level 50.
Diamond Focus Essence now scales properly past level 50.
Opal Focus Essence now scales properly past level 50.
Quartz Focus Essence now scales properly past level 50.
Quicksilver Focus Essence now scales its attributes properly past level 50.
Forget has had its refresh timer reduced to 20 seconds.
Chromatic Halo rune absorption amount has been increased to 5k.
Fire Pummel has been temporarily disabled until properly fixed.
The tooltips for the energy feedback have been corrected for Chaos Volley, Seradon’s Falling Comet, Shocking Grasp & Taqmir’s Barrage/Bolts. They should no longer display 0 or the incorrect value. They will also now display text in the chat box per tick.
Blinding Fire is now instant cast.
Sleep will no longer consume 100% crit buffs.


Game Update Tuesday October 27th 2009

General

Escape/Feign change has been reverted
Moved the combat/chat logs from the bin folder to the logs folder.
Festival of the Grim Harvest
Much to the dismay of the Thestran Watch, some happy haunts have assembled a small party outside of New Targonor to celebrate the Festival of the Grim Harvest, despite Sartok’s recent activities in Telon. Interested parties should hurry, as there’s no telling how long they’ll be gathered.
Items

Echoes will now have a chance of dropping from KDQ supply crates
Pantheon

Fixed issue preventing people from entering the chamber of life from the chaos gate.
Fixed an issue causing adds to lock to a single group in the Ataraxis/Zzaseh encounters
Fixed issue with the 4 piece item set abilities not being applied
Increased time of corpse for Zaseh/Ataraxis
Fixed problem with weakened buff lingering after agro was lost
Added class focuses to Ataraxis/Zaseh loot drops
Rogue


Abilities

Stack size of flash powder has been increased
Escape line abilities have had their refresh times cut in half
Escape now places the user in advanced stealth state for 10 seconds. This is a form of stealth that is very hard for NPCs to see through unless they are already able to see through stealth.
Fix for smoke trick burning mana when it does not fire correctly
All ranks of stealth have had their base modifiers increased by 2%
The max rank of stealth and the epic rank of stealth now add strikethrough chance of 5%
The max rank of stealth and the epic rank of stealth now increase chance to proc by 5%
Salamanders should now be classified as humanoid
Fixed the restriction of many mobs in POTA that were not pickpocketable or able to be taken as hostages
Removed the increased hate mod from devious foe.
Vital strikes buff timer increased to 6 seconds
Reduced Refresh of Eviscerate by 15 seconds
Endurance cost reduction portion of criminal intent has been increased by 1 percent per tier after the first.
Shadowblade duration increased to 30 seconds (damage should be adjusted accordingly)
Hemorrhage duration increased to 30 seconds (damage should be adjusted accordingly)
Quickblade refresh reduced by 60 seconds
Blindside now places a 100% crit buff on the rogue for one attack, instead of a crit weakness on the target. This crit should only affect modular attacks
Added ability Vital Strikes 2 which adds 100% crit and 5% crit damage for 6 seconds
Added Vital Strikes 2 scroll to Sparkles loot table
Increased dot duration of Eviscerate to 30 seconds (damage should be adjusted accordingly)
Ruin’s duration has been increased to 30 seconds for all ranks.
Assassin’s Guile should now properly give 5% crit instead of 4%
Deter should no longer break stealth
Fixed damage display on Azure and scarlet flame poison effects.
Pickpocket/Plunder lockout should now display properly on NPCs
Hostage Negotiations description has been updated to reflect its max timer
Hostage Negotiations now has a 3 minute refresh
Poisons/Darts/Flechettes/Scrolls

Poison assembly recipes have been removed
All non advanced poisons, scrolls, flechettes, and darts can now be purchased from rogue vendors.
All rogue poisons now require a certain adventuring level to be used. This level should be equal to the skill previously required for the recipe/10.
Apply poison skill has been removed
Advanced poisons are now on pickpocket tables
Advanced scrolls are now on their own pick pocket tables
Advanced Flechettes/Darts are now on their own pick pocket tables
There is an increased chance of rolling on the poison tables when pickpocketing
Max stack size of all poisons, scrolls, flechettes, etc. has been increased to 100.
Poisons now consume a poison reagent on when they proc. So for example water of life when it procs will consume a water of life vial
All poison proc buffs should now last an hour
Old rogue poison related gems should no longer default to the poison pouch when looted.
Poison weapon procs have had their efficiency increased by 20%
Water of Life poison has been renamed to Viper Venom
Water of Life Dart has been renamed to Tear Burst
Siren's Kiss has a new rank at 55
Viper Venom has a new rank at 55 that adds a chance to fire twice when it procs
Tear Burst has a new rank at 55
Azure Flames has a new rank that adds a reduction in crit chance debuff
Scarlet Flames has a new rank that adds a reduction in crit damage debuff.
Foul blood has a new rank at 55
Enflaming Veins Flechette has a new rank at 55
Shadowy Flechette has a new rank at 55
All of these new ranks have advanced versions as well.
Following scrolls now last 1 hour:
Scroll: Advanced Bear’s Strength
Scroll: Advanced Blinding Strikes
Scroll: Advanced Cat's Feet
Scroll: Advanced Float
Scroll: Advanced Group Water Breathing
Scroll: Advanced Wolf’s Legs
Scroll: Vampiric Thirst

Following scrolls now last for 30 minutes
Scroll: Bear’s Strength
Scroll: Blinding Strikes
Scroll: Cat's Feet
Scroll: Float
Scroll: Group Water Breathing
Scroll: Wolf’s Legs
Vampiric Thirst now requires and consumes a Vampiric Bloodstone per proc.
Vampiric Bloodstones have been added to the rogue merchants.
Advanced Vampiric Thirst proc rate has been raised to 25%.
Lint Ball, Lint Puff, Lint Trap, and Lint Bandages now all stack to 300
Advanced poisons, Flechettes, and darts should drop between 10 and 20 when they are successfully gained from a pickpocket table.
Lint Ball, Lint Puff, Lint Trap, and Lint Bandages recipes now produce 20 of each per combine.


Game Update Thursday September 3rd 2009


General


Silence abilities will now interrupt casting on players.
Fix for buffs that ignore caps not always putting players over the caps, based on what order the buffs were cast in.
Fix for buff order mattering when calculating out your total stats. Now your buffs will always give the maximum benefit, regardless of order they’re cast in.
Fix for some NPC reactions not always hitting the player they’re reacting to and instead hitting the NPCs offensive target.
Removed the last clothing option from the customization slider.
Fixed a bug where the sorcerer mez Sleep could proc on cast as well as some other mezes.
Added a toggle in the interface options to lock your hotbar buttons in place. This is for players who were trying to click buttons but ended up dragging them off the bar.
Fixed a few server crashes.
Fixed some of the bad server lag issues. There are still some being addressed, but the majority of them should be resolved now.

Sorcerer


Seradons falling comet now caps out at 2x damage instead of 10x damage. The previous change to haste on the comet has been removed.
PVP


The cap for PVP damage per hit has been reduced to 20%.
Changed the way DoTs work in PVP so that they're also affected by the per hit caps. Previously DoTs got around the cap.
Pantheon


The T2 Vol Anari trial now updates properly
Quest: Power of Corruption will now drop the essence. NOTE: If you are already on this quest, you will need to abandon and re-take the quest.
Haelifur worshippers will now be able to turn in the Essence of the Fireworks Connoisseur.
Quest: The Rescue (Phase 2) will now spawn the elder on the upper floor again.
Quest: The Maw of Tyranny (Phase 2): The waves should now despawn on reset.
Fixed an issue with not being able to turn in 1 Sacrificial Offering to Vothdars altar.
Admiral Jagistur Cairn’s HP has been lowered slightly.
