Vanguard Server Merger

Well, it's official. This year in July Sartok, Xeth and Seradon will be merged into one server. Then in August the Halgar server will be flown over and added to the mix.

Has its good and bad points I guess. My gut instinct doesn't like it though, but that won't change anything. We either like it or lump it.

i dont see why its so bad personally ive dealt with the .1 second lag for 3 years on halgar lol

How about the pvp. To me looks like vg is selling off its inventory and getting ready to go out of business. Thats what I would do, make my business look smaller, before i call it quits or bankrupt.

That really doesn't sound hopeful. And the new Star Wars MMO is coming out around then too. Hmmm...

hard to judge now ... but for sure it documents the lack of players for Vanguard in general ... we will see ...

Its my guess theyre cutting back, realising that Rift may actually be the game that comes along and finally kicks VG right in the nuts. Loads of VG players already registered there and with ex VG staff there too, word must get around within the industry as to just how appealing it will be to disenchanted VG players. No coincidence I'm sure that last server merge was around the time AOC was imminent.
