Rift Role Builder

I found this on vgbards. Little site that lets you play around with a few of the classes that they have the full ability lists for (not many since there's going to be 8 classes per archetype in total).

Keep in mind this is based on info from only the game's Alpha so a lot of the abilities will be changed before release. But it's handy as a more practical demonstration of how the system works and lets you get the jist of the flavour of the known classes.

It's definitely out of date (these were the trees from Alpha on the builder). I can confirm that the Nightblade tree looked quite different in the game to the one on Role Builder. Some talents been swapped around to different places some removed and changed altogetjer.

Role buider is good for showing you how exactly Rift's class system works and the general 'feel' of the few souls it shows. But don't use it for planning builds until it's updated.

Dug around for more infortmation, Moonie, and the Justicar also changed significantly from the class on role builder (Justicar was very much a healer then even if it did do it's healing in melee like discs). Justicar is now the Cleric tank class though it has some minor healing thrown in as a bonus rather than a full healer (it's all about +hate attacks and shield and armour self buffs).

I had a bit of fun trying the Explosive Rogue just before Beta ended. Bit stressy solo but I think it might be a Blast (Literally) in a group situation. Loved the concept of sticking 5 bombs to a mob and then pressing the detonate button. Might give it a go next beta if we have enough tanks to go round........although Reiver/VK was a treat to tank with.........oooooh too much choice. We seemed a bit short on dps though, so I don't mind changing so long as we have enough reliable long term tankage.

Riftstalker was a lot of fun of me. Despite being a Rogue class it really was a first rate tank class, had so many self armour and hp buffs it could take a hit every bit as well as the 3 Warrior tanks. And the Planes Shifts were great fun. Who needs to walk when you gan just teleport between mobs all the time?

I'm looking to give Riftblade a go next beta. Weird one, apparantly it's a plate wearing Warrior DPS class that also loves throwing fire and ice magic around as well as using various 'magicked blade' melee attacks. Could be interesting, always liked battlemage type classes.

So which form of cleric is that, Sentinal?

Tested pure pure healer they are good, ok not as tough as the justica but still wears chain o0

Still Cleric its the one ked mentioned (cough dont think were alowed to say much ;P)

Also there is a new class hidden there in the Cleric field yet to be disclosed (please be disco please be disco)

Clerics are Inqusitor, Cabalist, Sentinel, Warden, Purifier, Shaman, Justicar and Druid. I think all 8 have already been seen I'm afraid.

Was it Purifier you were lookin at, Moonie (it's okay Purifier has been anounced officially for ages, heh)?. According to Role Builder it gets a rezz at lv10 (Flames of the Phoenix). Looks like a fire themed healer which specialises in big single target heals and damage shields. Let's ignore the weirdness of healing someone by lighting them on fire...

But I remember when I started the cleric, there was one low box
with a no picture in it...... saying comming soon, as a class bit,
but hey you know me ill double check that the next time in.

but they are quite powerfull even solo for the low level,
lots of damage with lightening to start, hmm not had the fire heal
coooool love that, you just know your all going to be ablaze over and
over again, the main heal doubled my cleric heal from the J in
the first 5 mins haha...... the group heal was very cool if a little slow
but then they always were slower, there were 3 heals I think by the time
I got to 10 ish, dam net went off just before I got the res spell :P but I
guess this ones for me whichever it is, oddly I remember the icon colours
for the secon sole etc, just can't remember the names.

Could be right with the fire thing, there was a lot of orange based icon's in
the boxes. :P :P well with my memory and descriptions you just know im
not going to break the silence rule :P

I don't know how many are still interested in Rift. But if you are you might like to know that Rift Role Builder has been updated with the beta Soul Trees info following the NDA lift.

Anyway, all 32 souls are on it now. So go look.

Edit: On closer examination a few of them are still outdated and haven't been updated since alpha. I noticed Inquisitor, Nightblade and Justicar in particular still need to be updated with the beta changes.

This apparantly was made during Beta. Really it does the same thing as Role Builder. But it's, well, prettier I suppose.

Plus it also has the PvP souls on there if you're into that sort of thing.

Think you might mean Cabalist moon. It's the death magic caster dps Cleric. Packs a punch too by the look of the skills.

Not got too far into cabalist but I love some of the attacks, gives the cleric a bit of an edge, definately using this one.
