Yes. Rocks are crap to kill with but why do I get em? I did start a new guy, Just Freddric, at the woodlands place.
It seems more easy to get around and less confusion with the map.

Just read a post over at MMORPG.com that states Square Enix are planning to put hardware mouse support in place in time for retail, that that should clear up some of your mouse difficulties.

that sounds great now if they would just add fullscreen option I'll be happy

On a side note I got the motherboard replaced after coming back from dinner and am downloading now, apparently OB ends on the 19th so I've still got a couple of days left, see you in game!

Hethyla, you can select full screen in the video tab of the Final Fantasy XIV beta config utility in your Square Enix folder, it defaults to windowed mode, hope that helps.

Anyone had any trouble with the patcher Shad linked, I'm getting a grand old download rate of 10k which has now dropped to 0.0, I deleted the e-mail after I put the patcher on my own machine like a numpty, I'm trying to put it on my GFs machine.

Copy your whole files to her machine?

Problem is Moony its a 14 mile round trip from my GFs flat to mine and I don't think she's going to drive me at midnight! Its not Shad's patcher as I'm having the same problem with the one I downloaded from file planet, I've tried resetting the router if that doesn't work I'll do some research and see which ports I have to open.

The patcher was grrrrrrr for mine, it threw an error non stop, but found it was the mousepatcher doing mine had to put the original back in, and then it patched ok, seems the patcher for the patcher is now defunked :P ill ask himself though see if he can shed light

Well some research has shown up that the no remote connections problem is down to port forwarding, I haven't done it for a while but should get it right with a little trial and error.

Ok I got the ports open for the correct program on the correct computer on the network and I'm still getting a grand old download rate of 0.0 with no remote connections, apparently there are other people who are experiencing the same problem, looks like I won't be playing. Anyway have fun ladies and gents, I think I'm going to subscribe to EVE.

Just a thought mate, have you considered dloading it via bit torrent? That's where I ended up getting the patches from after dloading the client. Still took a couple of days mind.

By the time I've DL'ed it using a torrent Shad, beta would be probably over, if you guys are going to play when it goes to retail I'll consider picking up a copy, it runs fine on my machine, I can always buy a whopper of a USB drive and transport the client that way.

By the way I looked at some of yours and Moonies bears and Moonies cards on the web, their really great! I know where to come now if I want to get something unique for my GF.

Anyway Shad thanks for the tip about torrents.

Let me know what you are going to do about FFXIV retail.
